🍱 Bento Guide

Lawson Bento
ローソンのお弁当

From light fish-and-rice combos to hearty fried chicken bowls — Lawson's bento section offers a freshly made meal for every appetite and budget.

Lawson bento boxes are prepared daily and refreshed throughout the day. Each box is labeled with calorie count and region of availability. Most can be heated in the store microwave at the counter — just hand it to staff or use the self-service machine near the register. Prices include 8% food tax (eaten in-store) or 10% (taken away — ask for a bag!).

🍱 How to Order Your Bento Heated

  • Bring your bento to the register and say: "Atatamete kudasai" (温めてください) — "Please warm this up."
  • Some stores have a self-service microwave — the staff will point you to it.
  • Heating takes about 90 seconds. Your bento will come back piping hot!
  • Pick up disposable chopsticks, a plastic fork, or a spoon from the utensil stand near the register — they're free.

💡 Bento Buying Tips for Tourists

  • Best time to buy: Fresh stock arrives in the morning (7–9am), at noon, and in the early evening. Avoid shopping after 9pm if you want the best selection.
  • Discount stickers: Bento boxes approaching their expiry time (usually 2–4 hours before) often receive a yellow discount sticker — up to 30% off! Look for the 「値引き」 or 「割引」 sticker.
  • Calorie labels: Every bento shows the total calorie count on the label — convenient for those watching their intake.
  • Allergen info: Look for the small grid of allergy icons on the packaging. The 7 major allergens (wheat, egg, dairy, shrimp, crab, peanuts, soba) are always listed.
※ Products, prices, and availability may vary by region and season. Prices include consumption tax. Information current as of April 2026.
